Must complete your profile by using the Verizon Cloud app on your device prior to canceling service with Verizon Wireless.
While in the Verizon Cloud app navigate: Menu > Settings > My Account > Complete My Profile.
If the Verizon Cloud profile is not created prior to canceling service, there is no way to associate the old Verizon Cloud account with the new Verizon Cloud for Life account.
If the Verizon Cloud profile was created prior to canceling service with Verizon Wireless, you have 30 days to create an account on Verizon Cloud for Life to associate the old account with your new account.
