KYOCERA DuraForce PRO 3 Software Update

Verizon is pleased to announce a software update for your device. This software update has been tested to help optimize device performance, resolve known issues, apply the latest security patches and, when available, deliver new features.

Before you download:

Connect your device to a Wi-Fi network, or make sure it has a strong Verizon wireless network connection.
Ensure your battery is fully charged before starting the software update.

System Update 3

The details:

Release date: 04/15/2024
Android™ Security Patch Level: February 2024
Software Version: 1.030VZ

What's changing:

The current software update provides the most up to date Android security patches and addressed the following performance issues:

The device would occasionally reboot during initial boot up or after installing or uninstalling apps.
During video calls, the four corners of the other party's image displayed black.
If an MP3 is stored in the SD as a ringtone, removing the SD could cause the ringtone to be corrupted.
Under some circumstances, reading the NFC Tag (Type A/B) failed in Reader mode.
Occasionally not able to make or receive VoLTE calls with SIM (PLMN:302300).
Setup wizard repeatedly asked for a password when set to PO mode.
When displaying voicemail from a contact with no picture, the default picture was distorted due to low resolution.
The unlock icon on the lock screen menu was misaligned.

What's changing:

The current software update provides the most up to date Android security patches on your device and addresses the following issues:

The camera launched but wouldn't work.
Improvements for the camera image quality in night mode, even when shooting after a long press tap.
When facial recognition was enabled, SOS wouldn't turn on the flashlight when the screen was locked.
Transmission was muted during voice calls under certain conditions.
Improvements to the BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) connection from certain PTT devices.
Addressed an issue where data communication was being turned on by turning the Battery Saver on and off.
Updated verbiage on Battery Saver On/Off dialog and deleting face recognition/fingerprint recognition dialog.
Per user feedback, hid notifications when data communication is established via Wi-Fi.
The Contacts app crashed when the video call dialog screen was rotated.
Enhancements to wired transfer of data from previous mobile device to the DuraForce PRO 3.
