How to Use Guide: Verizon Cloud

Verizon Cloud lets you save your important contacts, photos, videos, music and documents all in one place. Access your files from multiple devices including your mobile phone, tablet and computer, and easily transfer them to new compatible devices.

This guide contains instructions for using Verizon Cloud.

Get Verizon Cloud

    Add Verizon Cloud to Your Account

    You can sign up for Verizon Cloud online in My Verizon by adding it to one or more lines on your account. You'll be able to select which devices on your account will have Verizon Cloud and how much storage space you want.

    Note: If you have Above Unlimited on your line, 500 GB of Verizon Cloud is included. You don’t need to sign up.

    To sign up for Verizon Cloud:

    1. Go to the Verizon Cloud section of the Products & Apps page in My Verizon.

      Note: If you're prompted to sign in, enter your My Verizon User ID and Password.

    2. From the Select Your Storage dropdown, choose a storage amount. This is the amount of space that will be available in your Verizon Cloud account to store pictures, videos, music and more.

      Note: The displayed pricing information will change based on the storage amount you select.



    3. Click Get it now.



    4. Select which line(s) you want Verizon Cloud added to.

      Note: You can only add Verizon Cloud to lines with compatible devices. If any of your devices aren't compatible with Verizon Cloud, they'll be listed here as "Not Compatible."



    5. Click Confirm Purchase.



    6. You can send a text message to your selected lines that contains a link to download the Verizon Cloud app. Check the box indicating you want to send the text message and click OK.


    You've successfully added Verizon Cloud to a line on your account.

    Download the Verizon Cloud App

    You can download the Verizon Cloud app onto compatible smartphones and tablets from the app store on your device or from a link below. Some Android® devices will come with the app preinstalled.

Upgrade

    Upgrade Your Verizon Cloud Storage

    You must be the Account Owner or Account Manager to upgrade your Verizon Cloud storage.

    1. Go to the Products & Apps page in My Verizon.

      Note: If you're prompted to sign in, enter your My Verizon User ID and Password.

    2. Click Manage Your Products.



    3. Find the Verizon Cloud section, select the storage amount you want to upgrade to and click Upgrade.



    4. Review the changes to your account and click Upgrade.

    You've successfully upgraded your Verizon Cloud storage.

Manage Your Verizon Cloud Account

    You can manage your Verizon Cloud account online through the Verizon Cloud website.

    View Your Verizon Cloud Storage Usage

    From the Verizon Cloud website, you can view how much storage you're using and how much you have left in your account. You can also view your storage meter in the Verizon Cloud app under Settings.

    To view your Verizon Cloud storage usage:

    1. Go to the Verizon Cloud website.

      Note: If you're prompted to sign in, enter your mobile number and My Verizon Password.

    2. Click Settings.



    3. Click Storage Usage.



    On the Storage Usage page, you can view the amount of storage space you're using and how much you have left. You can also see the number of each type of file that's saved in Verizon Cloud.

     

    Find Your PIN

    You may be asked for your PIN number when you set up Verizon Cloud on a replacement phone or if you need to change your PIN. You can find your PIN on the Verizon Cloud website.

    Note: This only applies if you have Backup AssistantSM. PIN codes aren't required for the Verizon Cloud app.

    To find your PIN:

    1. Go to the Verizon Cloud website.

      Note: If you're prompted to sign in, enter your mobile number and My Verizon Password.

    2. Click Settings.



    3. Click View PIN.



    Your PIN will display at the bottom of the window.

Manage Your Media Online with the Verizon Cloud Website

    You can upload and manage your media online with the Verizon Cloud website, including:

    • Photos
    • Videos
    • Music
    • Documents

    1. Go to the Verizon Cloud website.

      Note: If you're prompted to sign in, enter your mobile number and My Verizon Password.

    2. Click Upload.



    3. Click Choose Files and select which file(s) to upload.


    The new file(s) will appear in the proper section of your Verizon Cloud account.

    View Your Media with the Verizon Cloud Website
    1. Go to the Verizon Cloud website.

      Note: If you're prompted to sign in, enter your mobile number and My Verizon Password.

    2. Select the type of media you want to view or click All Files to see all the media you've uploaded.


    You'll see a list of your media files.

    Download media from Verizon Cloud to your Computer

    Downloading files to your computer from Verizon Cloud is simple. You can download files individually or as a batch. When you download multiple files at a time they will be saved as .ZIP files.

    1. Go to the Verizon Cloud website.

      Note: If you're prompted to sign in, enter your mobile number and My Verizon password.

    2. Go to the Photos & Videos tab if you want to download pictures or videos to your computer. Go to the Music tab if you want to download music from Verizon cloud.

    3. Check the box(es) of the file(s) you want to download. To download all the files for a certain month, select the box next to the Month/Year. To download all of your files, select the box at the top next to the total number of files (i.e., 45 Photos & Videos).

    4. Click the download icon to begin downloading. Your files will download as a .ZIP file.

    You've successfully saved your media to a computer.

    Search for Your Media with the Verizon Cloud Website
    1. Go to the Verizon Cloud website.

      Note: If you're prompted to sign in, enter your mobile number and My Verizon Password.

    2. Enter part of or the entire file name into the Search field and click the Search icon.


    All relevant files will appear.

Manage Your Contacts Online with the Verizon Cloud Website

    You can manage your contacts online at the Verizon Cloud website, including the following contact details:

    • Picture
    • Name
    • Company name and job title
    • Assign to a group
    • Phone numbers
    • Email addresses
    • Street address
    • Instant Messenger (IM) screen names
    • Birthday
    • General notes
    Add a New Contact
    1. Go to the Verizon Cloud website.

      Note: If you're prompted to sign in, enter your mobile number and My Verizon Password.

    2. Click Contacts.



    3. Click the Add New Contact icon in the upper-right corner of the page.



    4. Add the contact's name and company info (optional).



    5. If you'd like to add the new contact to a group, select a group you've already set up, or click New Group + to create a new one for the contact.



    6. Add the contact's phone number(s). You can also indicate which is their preferred number by clicking the Preferred button next to the phone number.



    7. Add any other contact info including their email address, IM screen name and address.

    8. When finished, click OK.

    You've successfully added a new contact.

    Update a Contact's Details
    1. Go to the Verizon Cloud website.

      Note: If you're prompted to sign in, enter your mobile number and My Verizon Password.

    2. Click Contacts.



    3. On the Contacts page, find the contact you want to edit. When you hover over the contact, gray icons will appear to the right.



    4. Click the Pencil icon to start editing the contact's information.



    5. Update the contact's information.

    6. When finished, click OK.

    You've successfully updated your contact's details.

    Import Your Contacts

    With Verizon Cloud, you can import your whole list of contacts at one time.

    You can import the following file types:

    • VCF - VCard 2.1 and 3.0
    • CSV - Microsoft® Outlook®

    To import a contact list with Verizon Cloud:

    1. Go to the Verizon Cloud website.

      Note: If you're prompted to sign in, enter your mobile number and My Verizon Password.

    2. Click Contacts.



    3. Click the Add New Contact icon in the upper-right corner of the page.



    4. Drag and drop your contact list file into the Drop File Here section, or find it on your computer by clicking Choose File and locating it.



    5. Click OK.

    You've successfully imported your contacts.

    Restore Deleted Contacts

    If you accidentally delete a contact from your phone, you can restore the contact to your address book from a computer with Verizon Cloud.

    Note: You can only restore contacts that were already synced with Verizon Cloud prior to being deleted. You can't restore contacts that are saved to other accounts like Google®.

    1. Go to the Verizon Cloud website.

      Note: If you're prompted to sign in, enter your mobile number and My Verizon Password.

    2. Click Trash.



    3. Any contacts or media you've deleted will be listed here. Check the box(es) next to the contact(s) you want to restore.



    4. Click the Restore icon.


    You've successfully restored a deleted contact. The contact will appear in your address book again.

    Print Your Contacts
    1. Go to the Verizon Cloud website.

      Note: If you're prompted to sign in, enter your mobile number and My Verizon Password.

    2. Click Contacts.



    3. Click the Print icon in the upper-right corner of the page.



      Note: If you want to print just one or some contacts, select the contacts you want to print before you click the Print icon.

    4. Click OK.


    You've successfully printed your contacts.

    Sort Your Contacts
    1. Go to the Verizon Cloud website.

      Note: If you're prompted to sign in, enter your mobile number and My Verizon Password.

    2. Click Contacts.



    3. Click the Sort icon in the upper-right corner of the page.



    4. Select the sort order you'd like your contacts listed by.



    5. Click OK.


    You've successfully sorted your contact list.
