  1. What's the $60/1 GB and the $75/2 GB smartphone single line plan and is it still available for new sign-ups?

    The $60/1 GB and the $75/2 GB smartphone single line plan is a promotional voice, text and data plan specifically for smartphone customers who have only 1 line. This plan is no longer available to new customers; however The Verizon Plan is available for single line customers or for customers who would like to share voice and data between multiple lines.   2. Can I sign up for the single line plan online?

    These single line plans are no longer available for new customers, but you can get a single line on The Verizon Plan. With The Verizon Plan, you can add other devices later, like a tablet or laptop.

    You can sign up or upgrade on the Change Your Plan page in My Verizon.

  3. Do I have to switch to The Verizon Plan if I have the smartphone single line plan?

    No, you don't have to switch plans if you're satisfied with your current plan. However, should you wish to change your data plan, you won't be able to on the smartphone single line plan. If you want a different amount of data, you'll have to switch to The Verizon Plan.

  4. Can I change my data allowance on the smartphone single line plan?

    No, if you want a different amount of data, you'll have to switch to The Verizon Plan. You can do this from the Change Your Plan page in My Verizon. On The Verizon Plan you'll be able to use your current smartphone, add more devices in the future if you want to and you'll get unlimited international messaging while in the US.

  5. If I switch to The Verizon Plan can I use the smartphone I have on the single line plan?

    Yes, the smartphone you have on the single line plan can also be used on The Verizon Plan. If you're paying for your smartphone through monthly device payments, you can continue doing so on The Verizon Plan. If you'd like to change your plan, go to the Change Your Plan page in My Verizon.

  6. What's the monthly line access charge for a smartphone with a Verizon device payment agreement on a single line plan?

    If you have a smartphone on a Verizon device payment agreement, you'll receive $15 off the monthly access on a single line plan. For more information, visit our Device Payment FAQs.

  7. I'm on a Verizon device payment agreement now, what do I have to do to get the $15 monthly line access credit?

    If you're already under an existing Verizon device payment agreement on a single line plan, you'll automatically receive the $15 monthly line access credit. You don't have to do a thing.

  8. If I'm no longer on a Verizon device payment agreement, do I still get the monthly access credit?

    No, customers who are currently enrolled and making monthly payments towards their Verizon device payment agreement qualify for the $15 monthly line access credit.

  9. Are international minutes included in single line plans?

    No, only calls to other US landline and mobile numbers are unlimited. Standard international long distance rates apply. However, you can add World Messaging Unlimited for $5 per month for unlimited international messages and deeply discounted per minute rates.   10. What is a data allowance, and why do I need it?

    Data provides access to the Internet over the Verizon Wireless network. You use data on your device when you access the Internet, check your email, play games, use apps (e.g., Facebook®, Twitter®, etc.) and more. Background tasks, such as syncing or location services, may also use data.
