Samsung Galaxy Note9 - Email Account Password and Server Settings
To configure personal email server settings (e.g., password, Exchange server, etc.), follow these steps.
From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen. These instructions only apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
Tap Email.
Tap the Menu icon (upper-left) then tap the Gear icon.
From the Accounts section, select the appropriate email address. Multiple accounts may appear.
From the Advanced settings section, tap Server settings.
From the Account section, edit any of the following: The available settings may vary depending upon the email account type.
Email address
User name
Password
From the Incoming server section, edit any of the following:
POP3/IMAP server If you're not sure what your server info is, here are some common personal email server addresses. Contact your email provider if additional assistance is needed or your server info isn't listed.
Security type
Port
IMAP path prefix
From the Outgoing server section, edit any of the following:
SMTP server
Security type
Port
Authentication required before sending emails Selected when a check mark is present. If selected, ensure the User name and Password are entered correctly.
