The Security Dashboard explains how to turn on the strong security tools Verizon makes available to you, and how to get the most out of them. It helps you learn what to watch out for. Cybersecurity is a challenging issue. Online threats are constantly evolving. The dashboard's security tips and recommendations can help you strengthen your protection.
How do I get to the Security Dashboard?
You can access Security Dashboard on your Apple iOS or Android smartphone. In the My Verizon app, go to Manage Device and choose Security Dashboard.
Using Security Dashboard
- Complete your checklist to improve your rating and protection.
- The dashboard also shows the status of your Verizon security tools and potential threats that need your attention.
- Use of security tools from Verizon and others.
- Verizon Account Security settings (e.g., 2-factor authentication, Number Lock and security notifications via email).
- Online security habits.
- Knowledge of online threats (see: How can I learn more about online security?).
- The name and mobile number(s) associated with your Verizon account
- The Account Security settings on your Verizon account
- The Verizon security tools available to you (e.g., Digital Secure and Call Filter), and if and how you're using them
- The Security Checklist and recommendations are for your reference only.
- They aren't intended to be an exhaustive list of actions you should take.

How do I use the Security Dashboard?
Use the dashboard's Security Rating and Security Checklist to help you understand and strengthen your protection against cyberthreats.
How does the Security Dashboard work with Verizon’s other security tools?
The Security Dashboard makes it easier for you to turn on the Verizon security tools available for your account.
The Security Dashboard works best on devices that have Digital Secure installed. When you enable Digital Secure, Call Filter and other Verizon account security tools, the dashboard includes them in your Security Rating and recommendations.
Note: If you’re enrolled in a product* that has access to a Security Advisor, you’ll see "Chat with a Security Advisor" in the Security Dashboard. You can contact a Security Advisor 24/7 via chat or by calling *611. They may ask you to open the dashboard, to help you use the tools.
*These Verizon products include access to a Security Advisor: Digital Secure, Mobile Secure, Verizon Mobile Protect, and Verizon Home Protect (but only for wireless customers enrolled to Verizon Home Protect).
What is my Security Rating and how is it determined?

How can I improve my Security Rating?
To improve your Security Rating, follow the Security Checklist recommendations. The more items you complete, the more your Security Rating and preparedness improve.*
Note: Even after completing your checklist, you might not get a Very Strong rating. That's because we continually add more tools and features to strengthen your security. We’ll let you know anytime there’s more you can do.

Does using Security Dashboard protect me from cyberthreats?
Security Dashboard helps you take control of your online protection. The Security Dashboard can't guarantee protection from cyberthreats and online security breaches.
Note: The Security Dashboard doesn't take into account other security tools you may be using unless you tell us through the "online security habits" questions.
What if I don't want Security Dashboard to rate my online security?
The Security Dashboard establishes your Security Rating each time you open it in the My Verizon app. It doesn't collect data in the background. So, if you don't want your online security rated, disregard and don't open the dashboard.
