How to manage payment methods

Paying your bill is quicker when you set up a saved payment method. Once it's set up you don't have to enter your checking or credit/debit card info each time you pay.

Payment Methods

    Add a new payment method - My Verizon app
    1. Tap the Menu icon in the top left and tap Bill.
    2. Tap Settings.
    3. Tap Manage payment methods.
    4. Choose the type of payment method you want to add.
    5. Enter the account details requested and tap Save.

    You've successfully added a new payment method.

    Note: When you pay your bill using a new form of payment, you'll also be given the option to store that information as a payment method.

    Add a new payment method - Online
    1. Go to the Management Payment Accounts page in My Verizon from your computer or mobile browser.
    2. To add a new checking account select + Add account or to add a new credit/debit card select + Add card.
    3. Enter the requested information.

      Note: If you want to use Auto Pay with this new account, check the Yes, let's set up Auto Pay box. Select a monthly auto pay date from the dropdown.
    4. Tap or click Save account.

      Note: If you added the account to Auto Pay, select Confirm Autopay.

    You've successfully set up a new payment method.

    Note: When you pay your bill using a new form of payment, you'll also be given the option to store that information as a payment method.

    Edit or change a payment method - New My Verizon app

    If you need to make edits to the expiration date or billing zip code of an existing payment method, you can make these edits online.

    Note: You can't edit the credit card number of a saved card for security reasons. If you get a new card with a new credit card number from your issuer, you'll need to add it as a new payment method.

    The My Verizon App

    1. Tap the Menu icon in the top left and tap Bill.
    2. Tap Settings.
    3. Tap Manage Payment Methods.
    4. Tap the payment account you want to update.
    5. Make the necessary changes and tap Continue.

    You've successfully changed your payment method.

    Edit or change a payment method - Online
    1. Go to the Manage Payment Accounts page in My Verizon on your computer or mobile browser.
    2. Tap or click the payment method you'd like to change.
    3. Make your edits.

      Note: Some information may not be editable for security reasons. If you aren't able to make the necessary edits, you can set up a new payment method with the updated information and delete the old one.
    4. If you want to use the payment method you're entering for Auto Pay, check the Use this account for Auto Pay box. Select a monthly Auto Pay date from the dropdown.
    5. Tap or click Update account.
    6. If you chose to use Auto Pay, review the Auto Pay details and tap or click Confirm Auto Pay.

    You've successfully edited your online payment method.
