Access Content Filtering - Verizon Smart Family™ - My Verizon app

Note To perform the steps below, you need to:

  • ensure the My Verizon app is installed and up to date as the following steps apply to the most recent version.
  • have an Android® device running 4.0 or higher or an Apple® iOS device running 10.0 or higher. For all other devices, visit verizonwireless.com to sign in and manage your account.
  • sign in using a My Verizon user ID or mobile number that has Account Owner or Manager access privileges.
  • ensure the child device is powered off prior to adding or removing blocks, restrictions, limits, etc.
  • have the Smart Family parent app installed on your Android or Apple iOS device.

 

  1. From the My Verizon app, tap the Menu icon Menu icon (upper-left).
  2. Tap Account.

  3. Tap Verizon Smart Family.

  4. Select the appropriate mobile number.

  5. Tap Content Filters.

  6. When prompted, launch the Verizon Smart Family app then refer to one of the following to add, edit or remove content filters:
