Resetting Backup Assistant

If the setup failed to complete and can't be reset using the method outlined below then refer to Initial Setup - Backup Assistant to set up the account as a new user.

Non-Touchscreen Devices

  1. While in Backup AssistantSM, select Options.
  2. Select About or Help.
  3. Enter *73738#.
    Note The characters won't appear on the screen. After entering the code, Backup Assistant closes and exits to the menu.
  4. Launch Backup Assistant then follow the instructions for Restoring Contacts - Backup Assistant.

Touchscreen Devices

Notes:

  • This outlines the process reset in Debug Mode.
  • If the Debug Mode reset process doesn’t work or isn’t available for the touch screen device, if available, slide out the keyboard and attempt the instructions for the Non-Touch Screen Devices.

  1. While in Backup Assistant, select Options.
  2. Select Help.
  3. Touch and hold the Camera key.
  4. Select Reset app settings.
    Note Backup Assistant closes and exits to the menu.
  5. Launch Backup Assistant then follow the instructions for Restoring Contacts - Backup Assistant.
