Samsung Galaxy Tab A (8.0) - Email Account Notification Settings
From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
Tap
Email
.
Tap the
Menu icon
(upper-left) then tap the
Gear icon
.
From the General section, tap
Notifications
.
Tap the
Notifications switch
(upper-right) to turn on
or off
.
Ensure the switch located in the upper-right is on.
When on, tap
App icon badges
to control a counter that appears over the app icon.
Tap
New emails
to control settings for each email address.
In the General section, tap
VIPs
to control settings for addresses marked as VIPs within the Email app.
Tap
Importance
and select the level (Urgent, High, Medium, Low).
Tap
Sound
then select the desired sound. Press
OK
(lower-right) to apply changes.
Tap
Vibrate
to turn the vibrate feature on or off.
In the
ADVANCED
section, tap App icon badges to control the app badge counter.
Tap
On lock screen
then select the desired option
Show content
Hide content
Do not show notifications
Tap
Do not disturb custom exception
to allow notifications while the Do Not Disturb setting is on.
Tap the
left arrow icon
(upper-left) to return to the previous screen.
Repeat step 4 for Snooze, Privacy and security, and Miscellaneous.
All options may not be available for all notification categories.
